Slots Coming Soon to FreeBingo UK

The popular UK free bingo game, FreeBingo.co.uk, has this week launched a newly redesigned games lobby.

As part of this freshening up of the long running bingo site, they have introduced a new tabbed ‘play the games’ list, where all the various varieties of bingo game can be selected, such as 90 ball, 75 ball, Dabbers only bingo and Prize bingo rooms.

Also included on these tabs is a ‘Slots’ option, which when selected simply reveals a message which says “COMING SOON”.

FreeBingo UK have been established since 2005 and have long offered players a free and fun online bingo experience, with all of the prizes funded by the advertisers who promote their own bingo sites around the game.

With increased competition from the likes of Facebook bingo games, FreeBingo is clearly looking to offer it’s players more new experiences in order to keep them active on the site, and slots is the first step down that road.

Word on the bingo grapevine is that FreeBingo are also working on a serious upgrade to their bingo software, with the new version working in Flash rather than Shockwave, with the possibility of running 80 ball and 30 ball games.

We will be keeping a close eye on this and will report any developments as they happen.

Bingo as a National Favorite

Bingo is one of the most popular games in the UK. There are many different factors behind the popularity of the game of bingo in the UK. The wide spread playing of bingo began several hundred years ago and started as a game called beano. The name bingo didn’t come along until someone mistakenly yelled bingo instead of beano upon winning. After that people began to use the word bingo as it was catchier. Since then bingo has gained so much popularity in the UK that it is now one of the most popular games to play. In fact, the game has become so popular in the UK that a national bingo game was started in 1986 for people across the country to play in. Even further helping the advancement of bingo is the internet.

Playing internet bingo is a favorite of many people in their twenties. The average online bingo player is a female between the ages of twenty and twenty five. There are also very many young men who play and even middle aged people under the age of fifty. Playing bingo online is done two different ways. Playing for money is the most popular way to play online bingo. However it is possible to get a free trial membership to most of the larger bingo web sites and play many games of bingo without having to deposit towards the web site. Many people prefer free bingo over stakes bingo simply because they wish to have fun but not squander their money. How you choose to play bingo is a personal preference as the game is meant to be enjoyed.
